StringSchool offers music lessons for beginners to advanced students, and is conveniently located in the heart of Manhattan, New York City, NYC. The goal of these classes is to help students of any ability to learn, play and enjoy music. Instrumental offerings include group violin lessons for the adult beginner to intermediate student, private violin lessons, and ensembles for the advancing bowed-string instrumentalist (violin, viola, cello and bass).

Do you find yourself thinking, "I wish I had..." Stop wishing and learn now! Group violin lessons for adult beginners are offered throughout the year. Classes are relaxed and fun, and by the end of the course you will be able to play several songs. You, yes YOU! No experience is necessary, absolute newcomers are most welcome.

Maybe you've been in school orchestra? Or perhaps you were a Suzuki kid? Maybe you've had private lessons and it's been a while since you've played?  Group lessons for the experienced student are an affordable and fun alternative to private lessons. Time to dust off your instrument and move forward in a supportive, imaginative class.

If you've been playing violin a while and are now interested in getting yourself ready to play in an ensemble, this is the class for you!  Learn the basics of multi-part playing in a our violin ensemble.  In this class for students new to playing with others, we'll be learning duets, trios, and quartets, and also the techniques associated with the various works to be studied.

"After waiting for decades to do something I've dreamed of, I am amazed at how much I've leaned and progressed in such a short time. If playing the violin is what you want to do, StringSchool is an excellent way to learn and grow."

"Playing with a group is so much more fun than playing alone, and it's easy to find people to play with who are at roughly the same level as you, whether you've recently started or have been playing for years."
